About

Nat Segal is an award-winning filmmaker, professional skier and ACMG hiking guide living in Revelstoke, the unceded territories of the Sinixt, Sepwécemc, Ktunaxa and Syilx Okanagan Nations.

Over the last fifteen years her connection to the mountains has evolved from using them as a stadium to compete into a place for her to explore, learn and be creative.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, where she received a BA in Fine Arts at Monash University, Nat pursued a career as a competitive freeride skier on the Freeride World Tour for six years, after which she changed her focus to writing and producing ski and documentary films.

This includes co-producing and starring in Shifting Ice & Changing Tides, Finding The Line and most recently writing and producing Beyond Begbie, People Like Us and Mountain Joy.

In 2025 her directorial debut, Beauty In A Fall, premiered at Banff Centre Film and Book Festival and was awarded ‘Best Mountain Culture Short Film’ at Whistler Film Festival and the ‘Transcending Boundaries’ award and No Man’s Land Film Festival.

Nat's known for her high energy, adventurous spirit and bubbly personality. Nat aims to use her unique skill set to inspire audiences, motivate positive action and bring communities together through film and media.
